More Showings!

 So, yesterday's showing was a bust.  The people feel like the house is more work than they want to get into.  

However.

There is another showing at 2:30pm today, plus the ones on Saturday at 11:00am and Sunday at 3:45pm.  

Therefore, I don't have a whole lot of time today to blog.  I will share a couple news items, and that's about it for today.  

Bryan got us a hard sided kitty kennel from Petco.  Here it is:


Poor Kitty is too smart and too tough to use that soft side kennel, and we all know how well the cardboard box did (DIDN'T!)  So, there will be a trial run at 2:00pm today!

Bryan is going to work on the bathroom sink drain tomorrow.  He's going to replace it because it runs really slow.  

I was going to do floors this afternoon, but I guess I will do them tomorrow morning before *that* showing.  

I have a coaching session, plus a *crap* load of homework, etc.  So, I better get at it. Talk to you tomorrow.

Blog Post for 2/26/24  The For Sale sign went up yesterday.   You see, a blog has to start somewhere.  Perhaps we should have started it with the decision to move.  That would have been, I don't know, several years ago, when we started looking at hobby farms.  Or perhaps when I got covid in 2022 which lead to my heart failure in early 2023, when we really decided to get moving.  Or last summer, 2023, when I was finally able to do things again, and started packing.  I don't know.   I am not sure when we started the whole stuff-purging, packing, and cleaning process in the house.  I have my color journal for this year, started in June 2023, which has packing goals in it for the month of June.  I can't imagine I started any earlier than that, because I had just started back to work the end of April, and it was really kicking my butt, and I couldn't do much more than work, drive, and sleep.  So, maybe the blog should have star...

The Idea

First, the first installment in the story on how we came here.......  The Idea.  The very idea! There we were.  Sitting in our living room on Kinsey Ave. in Kremmling, Colorado.  Circa 2017...ish.  I'm not entirely sure on the date.   Bryan had been working for the grocery store for roughly five years.  I had been with the paving company for 2 years, and I was off for the season.  (As you know, I had four months out of each year off, Thanksgiving through the 3rd week of April, every winter.) More Updates

 Installation of the dishwasher/disposal is ongoing.  There was some screwing around with the breaker needing to be added.  I helped Bryan get that put in.  With the power off, the basement gets pretty dark.  I had to hold the flashlight.   For both of us to be in the basement, we have no one to police Poor Kittie, and make sure he doesn't go down there.  And no doors we can close him into unless you put him in a bathroom or bedroom.  So, Bryan has these plastic covered cardboard signs left over from the City Market fuel center.  We used these a lot on the move.  We put them in between the furniture to keep them from scratching when we loaded them in the trailer.  They are great if you have to have a waterproof...thing...to put down on the ground or whatever.  And they are big, the size of a piece of plywood.  We took one of those and blocked off the kitchen door while Poor Kittie lounged in the living room.  The...
