Quick Update: We have an offer!

 Just a quick note.  It's been a super long day.  We woke up to Shea texting us that we had an offer, plus another showing.  We went to breakfast, and Shea emailed the offer while we were out.  Had showing #4 and #5 today.  Cruised around town in the bad weather during #4, and went to Granby for dinner during #5.  

Poor Kitty is a real trooper.  He's used to getting into his kennel.  He hardly even cries now.  

The offer is excellent, and we are going to take it if no other offers come in.  But Shea was optimistic about a bidding war.  So we will wait until tomorrow.  

Shea was also thinking we may want to counter offer.  I'm not sure why.  We are getting mostly what we want.  So, will talk to Shea and see what she's thinking.  

Other than that....nothing new.  Hahahaha

First, the first installment in the story on how we came here.......  The Idea.  The very idea! The Journey Begins

Blog Post for 2/26/24  The For Sale sign went up yesterday.   You see, a blog has to start somewhere.  Perhaps we should have started it with the decision to move.  That would have been, I don't know, several years ago, when we started looking at hobby farms.  Or perhaps when I got covid in 2022 which lead to my heart failure in early 2023, when we really decided to get moving.  Or last summer, 2023, when I was finally able to do things again, and started packing.  I don't know.   I am not sure when we started the whole stuff-purging, packing, and cleaning process in the house.  I have my color journal for this year, started in June 2023, which has packing goals in it for the month of June.  I can't imagine I started any earlier than that, because I had just started back to work the end of April, and it was really kicking my butt, and I couldn't do much more than work, drive, and sleep.  So, maybe the blog should have star...

Shelving, Updates, and What's Coming

 First an update: We are still fighting that John Deere.  It sucks that we paid so much money for the darn thing, and have had so many problems with it.  Reminds us of Gina's Neon.  It had one failed sensor after another.  This one has one failed safety switch after another.  We are putting some more switches in it this week, so we will see if we get anywhere.   Bryan is looking for substantial snow removal tools and methods.  It's a long sloping driveway, so we will need reliable and easy snow removal, or my car will never make it out of the garage in the winter.  Now that I know I have to work, it's a critical issue.   We got the raised beds delivered.  Some assembly required.  We are about half way through putting them together.  So stay tuned.   Bryan put up shelves pretty much everywhere!  He put me a set of shelves and a closet rod in the laundry room.  He put up that old set of coat hoo...
