Just Me and Poor Kittie

 Update:  Bryan got all done with unloading yesterday and made his way up to Phillips.  He went and visited the Kroger store there and he felt like it went pretty well.  He also got us a post office box!  Yay!

So, until we have a home, that's our mail stop for right now.  Don't send anything there quite yet.  Wait until we move on the 10th.    

Hot water is fixed thank goodness.  I got dishes done and shower taken.  I checked the hot water heater after the shower, and that puppy fired up and I have good hot water in the kitchen sink.  So thankful!  It was the thermocouple, and the plumber guy was really helpful.  Under $300.  Whew, that was a bullet dodged.  Just let it last 11 more days!

I did not get anything moved yesterday.  I got stuff done for school, and applied for a bunch of jobs, which takes forever to get 5 contacts.  

I got some stuff moved this morning.  I'm going to head back into the fray again this afternoon.  Hope to have my room all done before I sleep.  I have to, everything is spread out on the bed!  

Poor Kittie cried again in the night.  I feel so sorry for him.  I hope moving doesn't make him go totally deranged.

Blog Post for 2/26/24  The For Sale sign went up yesterday.   You see, a blog has to start somewhere.  Perhaps we should have started it with the decision to move.  That would have been, I don't know, several years ago, when we started looking at hobby farms.  Or perhaps when I got covid in 2022 which lead to my heart failure in early 2023, when we really decided to get moving.  Or last summer, 2023, when I was finally able to do things again, and started packing.  I don't know.   I am not sure when we started the whole stuff-purging, packing, and cleaning process in the house.  I have my color journal for this year, started in June 2023, which has packing goals in it for the month of June.  I can't imagine I started any earlier than that, because I had just started back to work the end of April, and it was really kicking my butt, and I couldn't do much more than work, drive, and sleep.  So, maybe the blog should have started then.  I don't know.  But now seems like

Catch Up and Preview

 I didn't write yesterday because it was a crazy hectic day and I was dog tired when it was all over.   I am writing to you from the park down the street from our house.  The cleaning guy banished me while he did his work.  He will be at it for 3-4 hours.  But that's ok.  The place is going to be spic and span for the owners when they take over.  It was really inexpensive to do, so I asked myself, why climb step stools and such, and stress myself out when I could get someone else to do it?  I feel pretty good about it, just saying. Yesterday, I had coaching practice early, before class.  Then during class, I had my final coaching session, where I got tested to see if I followed the protocol.   I was pretty nervous.  No real reason to be, but you know how it goes....seemed like all my practice sessions went great, and I was just waiting for what could go wrong, would go wrong while I was being graded on it.  When you pay a pretty penny for a class, you do not want to flunk it!

Jobs, and the Lack Thereof

 Ya, that last post, I didn't notice that it wasn't updating, and when I went to post it, it was all fouled up.  So I posted an earlier version of it, said "To Heck With It!" and went to bed.  Internet issues will clear up any of this type of issue, going forward.    So, updating you now with anything I missed on the last posting. Today 4/27:  Bryan is unpacking the trailer and working on my dishwasher.  I'm getting office work caught up, and later will be unpacking the boat load of boxes still left to unpack in the kitchen.   Yesterday 4/26:  Bryan had an interview with Super One, the grocery here in Park Falls.  It went well.  The only issue with that job is that insurance doesn't start until the 6 month mark.  I can probably get away with being off of insurance that long, but Bryan can't.  So we will see.  He has also had a phone interview with Kwik Trip.  Issues with that are, there's no openings in Park Falls, so Bryan would have to drive an hour.
