Update, Bryan is bound for Wisconsin

 Started this post last night and never got back to it.  


Bryan left yesterday, around 9:30am.  He made it, as far as I can tell, to Greenwood Nebraska.  Looks like he ran into some weather.













I know he gets into truck driver mode and just goes.  He doesn't have phone capability built into the truck, like my car does, where you can voice text while you drive.  So he has to stop to text.  So...there's that.  

Ah, I just checked and he is in Huxley Iowa.  At least his credit card is! Then shortly thereafter he texted me that he was in Minnesota.   

The water heater guy was here and he's going to send an estimate.  I have a feeling he's going to try to charge me the max.  I won't have much choice.  It has to be done, and done soon, and they know we don't have a whole lot of plumbers around.  I should quit stressing over things I can't control!  Breathe, pay the money, and get on with things.  What's a girl to do?

By the way, I did the math on that first trip to Wisconsin.  It cost us roughly $825 in fuel.  Not too bad considering.  Heavy load, headwind going home, etc.  We knew it would cost around that.

Blog Post for 2/26/24  The For Sale sign went up yesterday.   You see, a blog has to start somewhere.  Perhaps we should have started it with the decision to move.  That would have been, I don't know, several years ago, when we started looking at hobby farms.  Or perhaps when I got covid in 2022 which lead to my heart failure in early 2023, when we really decided to get moving.  Or last summer, 2023, when I was finally able to do things again, and started packing.  I don't know.   I am not sure when we started the whole stuff-purging, packing, and cleaning process in the house.  I have my color journal for this year, started in June 2023, which has packing goals in it for the month of June.  I can't imagine I started any earlier than that, because I had just started back to work the end of April, and it was really kicking my butt, and I couldn't do much more than work, drive, and sleep.  So, maybe the blog should have started then.  I don't know.  But now seems like

Catch Up and Preview

 I didn't write yesterday because it was a crazy hectic day and I was dog tired when it was all over.   I am writing to you from the park down the street from our house.  The cleaning guy banished me while he did his work.  He will be at it for 3-4 hours.  But that's ok.  The place is going to be spic and span for the owners when they take over.  It was really inexpensive to do, so I asked myself, why climb step stools and such, and stress myself out when I could get someone else to do it?  I feel pretty good about it, just saying. Yesterday, I had coaching practice early, before class.  Then during class, I had my final coaching session, where I got tested to see if I followed the protocol.   I was pretty nervous.  No real reason to be, but you know how it goes....seemed like all my practice sessions went great, and I was just waiting for what could go wrong, would go wrong while I was being graded on it.  When you pay a pretty penny for a class, you do not want to flunk it!

Jobs, and the Lack Thereof

 Ya, that last post, I didn't notice that it wasn't updating, and when I went to post it, it was all fouled up.  So I posted an earlier version of it, said "To Heck With It!" and went to bed.  Internet issues will clear up any of this type of issue, going forward.    So, updating you now with anything I missed on the last posting. Today 4/27:  Bryan is unpacking the trailer and working on my dishwasher.  I'm getting office work caught up, and later will be unpacking the boat load of boxes still left to unpack in the kitchen.   Yesterday 4/26:  Bryan had an interview with Super One, the grocery here in Park Falls.  It went well.  The only issue with that job is that insurance doesn't start until the 6 month mark.  I can probably get away with being off of insurance that long, but Bryan can't.  So we will see.  He has also had a phone interview with Kwik Trip.  Issues with that are, there's no openings in Park Falls, so Bryan would have to drive an hour.
